I’ve gotten a handful of questions lately about who designed the cover for Where’s Ronald?, so here’s the answer: www.GetCovers.com.
They’re a design company that specializes in affordable book covers for independent authors, and they’re pretty good at what they do. Their process is simple, their turnaround is fast, and, most importantly for indie writers, their prices don’t make your wallet cry. You give them your concept, a few details about your book, and they come back with a polished, professional design that looks like it belongs on a bookstore shelf. They offer unlimited revisions, each revision taking around 5 days to complete.
They handled the cover for Where’s Ronald?, and I'm happy with how it turned out. For the front cover of this book, I gave them the prompt of "red clown shoes sitting alone on a dirt road in rural farmland with a water tower in the background." For the back cover, I sent them a photo I took on my research trip back to Estherville of the 4th Street Bridge, and asked them to include the blurb and the Layla Cat Publishing logo.
If you’re an indie author looking for a solid cover without spending a fortune, they’re absolutely worth checking out.
